The nation’s largest afrobeats is happening again on August 17th and 18th and happening big time featuring a lineup jam-packed with artists such as Rema, Partynextdoor, Asake, Arya Starr, Omaha lay, Musa Keys and so many more to be announced. Known for showcasing some of the biggest foundational and up-and-coming artists in the afrobeat, hip hop,r&b realm of music leading to an immensely diverse collection of sounds offered every year. This soon-to-be iconic festival has been held by the people of Detroit and they have shown up for one reason and it is to party.
The legends featuring in this festival’s alumni could fill this entire article if needed but a few more than worthy of mention include Burna Boy, Wizkid, Meek Mill, and Meg the Stallion. Located in what many would call the heart of Motown Detroit, MI, and takes place at the Douglass site. Which was once home to The housing project that was home to legendary artists Diana Ross, and Smokey Robinson. This festival has a rich history and atmosphere behind it.
Featuring two days worth of music, food, and rich cultural vibes there is no other place you’re going to want to be on August 17th and 18th than at the Douglass site partying and enjoying the best that Afronation has to offer to cap off your summer.
