Gus Dapperton Shines with Abby Sage

On Wednesday, Oct. 11th, Gus Dapperton brought his electrifying tour to Denver, Colorado, and he didn't come alone. As fans poured into the venue, there was an undeniable sense of anticipation and excitement in the air. The venue's dimly lit interior was bathed in a warm, inviting glow, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening of music. Little did they know, this night would become a vivid chapter in the story of their musical journeys, thanks in part to the remarkable performance of opening act Abby Sage.
Abby Sage is an indie pop musician currently on tour supporting Gus Dapperton. The Henge Tour stopped at the Odgen Theatre for a night to remember. Abby warmed up the stage and crowd alike with her magnificent series of heart-felt emotional songs. Her time on stage was nothing short of beautiful. She sang her songs with an immense amount of passion and it was apparent the way the emotion radiated throughout the crowd. Her voice filled the theater so much so you could hear a pin drop. The audience was in awe of her ethereal movements as she flowed to the rhythms of her songs.
Her dreamy melodies and hauntingly beautiful lyrics seemed to resonate with the audience, as she effortlessly transitioned between ethereal ballads and indie-pop anthems. Nearing the end of her set, Abby performed her hit song, Backwards Directions. The song has surpassed seven million streams and is a fan favorite. The crowd roared with excitement as she closed out the song, applauding her set and patiently awaiting Dapperton’s arrival.

Gus Dapperton contrasted Sage’s slow set with an alternative uptake. The night began with a grand entrance from Dapperton and his band. Sunset, was the first of many songs from the night, and the excitement from the audience was more than apparent. It was difficult to tell where the crowd’s cheering ended and the song began. The night flew by with a series of dancing from all corners of the venue, and the set was closed with an unforgettable encore.
