    Hello Dear

Hello Dear kicked off the most beautiful night to come. Blue lights immediately started trembling alongside the cheers of the crowd. Hello Dear was the perfect start to the night. Their sound is the perfect blend of post-punk edge and smooth jazz sophistication. There’s the coolest fusion of raw, driving rhythms with a touch of laid-back sultry key vibe. Their bassist, Jackson lays down the grooviest line throughout their whole set while the drummer, Joey keeps a tight, punchy beat. Owen throws in some jagged riffs that cut through the air, and Jesse fully takes over the keys with such rich tones. The vibes that Hello Dear brought just fully let you soak in the ambiance. We are still in complete awe of Hello Dear.

The Kilans

The Kilans took the floor immediately following Hello, Dear. They bring the most infectious energy into the room. Their set is fun, fast, and dancey. It is not easy to pull off their sound. The coolest mix between classic indie and surf rock. All their originals have deep lyrics that stick with you after the show. Jack has a voice that is so rich and full of soul which makes a Kilans show that much better. David rips on drums like we’ve never seen before. Jacob on guitar never fails to amaze the crowd. And the bass tone that Cooper brings is insane. The blend of these four playing together never fails to make a good live show. Beautiful music, beautiful energy, and beautiful people. The Kilans showed us that Fairyland really does exist.

Molotov Dress

Molotov Dress is the coolest post-disco, punk band around. There was such an electric buzz in the air as Molotov Dress started their set.  It was so raw yet melodic with twists of punk. The bass in their set was so driving and kept the rawness of their set. The trumpet brought into their music was something we have never experienced, it scratched my brain in the most perfect way. Their performance was an intimate rebellion, a perfect blend of sensitivity and punk. Every chord gripped the crowd in a wave of unbridled passion. Molotov Dress showed us that seeing them live isn’t just music, it’s a full adrenaline-fueled experience that leaves you buzzing for days!

Horrible Penny

Horrible Penny finished the night off in the best way possible. The mix between soft and harder punk completed the night beautifully. Vocalist Katana really knows how to get the crowd involved with their set. The crowd matched Katana’s energy with their own wild abandon. Some of the most powerful vocals we’ve heard in a long time. Horrible Penny accentuates the line of punk and performance insanely well. Through the chaos, there was such a sense of unity, a communal release of pent-up emotions, all set to raw, unapologetic punk.

Thank you to everyone who came and who played. As well as a huge thank you to Fairyland Exists for hosting this show with us. It has been our favorite night at Fresh Off the Scene Magazine yet!
