Ashnikko Lights Leeds Ablaze

On Friday 8th December, Ashnikko took to the stage playing at the sold-out O2 Academy, Leeds. Ashnikko wowed the fully packed venue showcasing their incredible vocal range while playing a mixture of songs from their new album “Weedkiller” as well as some older tracks. With outstanding energy, dynamic dancing, and insane vocals, Ashnikko’s show in Leeds was truly one to remember!
While the crowd waited, the anticipation in the O2 Academy grew and grew. People were giggling in excitement, chatting about the fact they were really about to see Ashnikko live and discussing what song they were most looking forward to hearing. The lights went down and screams of excitement filled the O2 Academy as the dancers marched out onto the stage followed by Ashnikko, all ready to put on an exceptional performance. The first thing that struck me about Ashnikko was their incredible styling. Their blue hair contrasted with the utility-styled co-ord made for an incredible look! The staging and levels of dancing during the show were some of the best I have ever seen and Ashnikko’s stage presence during the show was impeccable
Ashnikko kicked off their set with ‘You Make Me Sick!”. The crowd was belting out all the words while Ashnikko and their dancers put on a fantastic opening number. Ashnikko is known for their alternative-pop sound and high-energy, dynamic performances. They rose to fame after their song “STUPID” gained popularity on the social media platform TikTok. Since then, Ashnikko’s career has gone from strength to strength, and with performances like their show in Leeds, I know Ashnikko is set to go far in the music industry!
As the set progressed, Ashnikko performed a range of hits. The one that stood out to me most was “Slumber Party” That song in particular is a personal favourite, so it was great to hear it live for the first time! It was a definite crowd favorite. The whole venue was singing and dancing to that one. The energy in the venue was amazing for the whole evening and Ashnikko and their dancers were absolutely feeding off the fan’s love for this show.
Finishing off their set, Ashnikko concluded the evening with “Daisy” which was another crowd favorite as well as another personal favorite of mine as well! The crowd was loving it, jumping and singing through the whole final song. Overall, Ashnikko’s Leeds show was truly phenomenal, the styling, set, and energy was unmatched. The show was also a privilege to photograph and review and I am looking forward to seeing what Ashnikko has lined up in the new year!
