Debut Delight: Exploring Wilbere’s EP
Written by Keira Zoumadakis
Quiet Eyes is a captivating EP that showcases the band's unique sound and musicality. From the very first track, the EP grabs your attention with its infectious melodies and heartfelt lyrics. Wilbere's ability to blend different genres creates a refreshing and dynamic listening experience.
The EP opens with the track Unjust which immediately sets the mood with its dreamy guitar riffs and beautiful vocals. The band's songwriting shines through in this track. The lyrics are poetic and introspective, inviting the listener to dive deep into their thoughts and emotions.
Next up is the electrifying track Old Blood. I truly can not wait any longer to hear this one live. This whole EP honestly. Old Blood just has something in it that makes you want to dance, run, and jump. The flow from Unjust to Old Blood keeps the energy flowing.

Cottonwood is my personal favorite on this EP. It encapsulates that same feeling of depth and energy that Old Blood and Unjust provides but there’s still that differentiating sound to it that makes you want to continue listening and playing it on repeat.
Thirty Pieces finishes off the Quiet Eyes extended play. This song pulls this EP together. The other songs flow beautifully but this one is the glue to it all. It’s ethereal, vulnerable, and authentic. The melodic harmonies stream through it as the strings of the guitar are gently plucked and strummed. The lyricism in this song is heart-wrenching.
In conclusion, Quiet Eyes is a must-listen EP for fans of indie rock. Wilbere's unique sound, heartfelt lyrics, and dynamic songwriting make this release a standout in the music scene. With their ability to blend different genres and create captivating atmospheres, Wilbere is definitely a band to watch out for. "Quiet Eyes" is a testament to their talent and leaves the listener eagerly anticipating what they will release next.
